Kiln Drying Wood

We currently run 4 kilns. Our primary kiln is an I-Dry Vacuum kiln. This enables us to dry green wood and insure proper insect eradication. A typical drying cycle in the I-Dry Kiln is 1-2 weeks vs. 8-12 weeks in a conventional dehumidification kiln.

Proper air drying can take between 6 months to a year depending on the species, size and dimensions of the milled wood. Green wood can be placed immediately into the vacuum kiln saving precious time and resources. We are available for consultation to discuss proper air drying of milled wood.

We will still run our 3 dehumidification kilns (DH) that can fit slabs or dimensional lumber up to 14’ 6″ in length.

Vacuum Kiln Drying is $1.00 per board foot per cycle. A typical drying cycle in the vacuum kiln is 7-10 days.

Dehumidification Kiln Drying is $1.50 per board foot per 6-8 weeks of kiln drying (1 normal cycle).
